Omega Pocket Watch Custom Wristwatch

Introduction

The Omega Pocket Watch Custom Wristwatch is a unique timepiece that combines a 1924 Omega sterling silver pocket watch movement with a custom-engraved case. This wristwatch showcases exceptional craftsmanship and carries a rich history. Let's delve into the details of this remarkable timepiece.

Movement and Case Details

The heart of this watch is a caliber year 1924 CAL35,5L movement, with a serial number of 6178729. The movement has been meticulously overhauled to ensure accurate timekeeping. Encasing this vintage movement is an original solid silver case, crafted in 900 silver. The case's serial number is 6957083, and it features a claw opening front and back cover.

Timekeeping and Features:

The Omega Custom Wristwatch is a mechanical hand-winding watch with a power reserve of approximately 24 hours. Adjusting the time is done by gently pulling the crown one step to align the long hands accurately. The watch exhibits a slender profile, a characteristic that was uncommon for its time, highlighting its elegance and sophistication.

Case Dimensions and Design

Measuring approximately 45.6mm (excluding the crown) in diameter and about 12.5mm in thickness, the case boasts a substantial presence on the wrist. The lug width is approximately 22mm, providing a sturdy connection between the case and the custom-made black crocodile-type cowhide strap. The front of the watch features a new plastic dome windshield that ensures clear visibility of the dial.

Masonic Dial and Red Hands

The original dial has been replaced with a specially designed Masonic dial, adding a touch of exclusivity to this timepiece. Positioned at 9 o'clock is a small seconds sub-dial, enhancing the watch's functionality. The hands on the dial are striking red, allowing for easy readability against the black backdrop, further accentuating the watch's aesthetic appeal.

Condition and Care

As an antique watch, it's important to note that there may be small scratches on the watch that are not visible in the provided photos. It is crucial to consider these imperfections before making a purchase. This timepiece carries the charm and character of its age, and while it may not be in flawless condition, it holds immense value for those who appreciate its historical significance.

Seeking a Caring Owner

The Omega Pocket Watch Custom Wristwatch, with its intricate engravings and vintage allure, seeks a new owner who will cherish and preserve its legacy. If you understand and appreciate the unique qualities of this timepiece, it could be a treasured addition to your collection. The watch embodies a timeless elegance that awaits a discerning individual who will appreciate its craftsmanship and wear it with pride.
